WHAT A SWEET IDEA!  My biggest dream is for you to chose any of these dear ladies  with one of your gifts. Not that I would not dearly love to be one of the chosen 3 but in my heart the stories I read blessed me so much that I just want you to bless 3 of them. I loved adding my thoughts though!    You ARE a blessing and how blessed WE are to have you on here to "chat" with! You make our site the best there is,,,in that fact you are the gift, so we are all winners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if you would just give me driving directions I will just drive up there to personaly pick a jar!    hahahahaha

Hi Jean-- My dream is that after being banded and losing 150 lbs.  that I will be able to give up my wheelchair and walk with a cane.  I had a stroke 6 years ago and I was one of those people who thought they had forever to lose their excess weight.  I thought that those statistics applied to other people.  God left me with the ability to change things for the better and I'm taking this second chance very seriously.--Cherilee

Some of my dreams have already come true, such as getting off of my blood pressure and diabetes medications.  I have a secret dream though.  One that I haven't shared with my DH or friends.  So, don't tell anyone....but I would love to take up a sport and be good at it.  I have never been athletic.  I was chubby as a kid, but I tried.  I even tried out for the volleyball team in Junior High but didn't make it.  I played softball, and won an award for most improved....most likely because it's easy to improve on horrible.  ha!  No, I would like to take up biking, or tennis, maybe even swimming and become very good at the sport.  I have a dream of being an athlete.

I also have a dream of having some of your apple butter, plum sauce or chutney.  I would be honored to have any of them!

What a fabulous idea!  And delicious sounding at that...

My dream come true is to be able to share my experiences by educating as many people as possible who feel they are out of options and out of luck when it comes to their weight.  I would like to awaken the world to the fact that no one has to be a slave to their bodies.  I would like people who are losing this "weight war" to know that there is a powerful option available and that no one has to suffer if they choose not to. I want to set an example for my children by consistently demonstrating healthy behaviors, such as self love, self acceptance, and pride as opposed to showing the anger, disappointment, humiliation and frustration associated with yo-yo dieting and negative self-talk.  I want to encourage everyone to take control in ending this obesity epidemic!

I lost a small person...the one inside who was telling me 'I wasn't beautiful enough'.  See ya later!  You are surely not missed!

Dang it....I read this post a few hours after the deadline so I did not send in my response...  However, the responses that you received were so sweet and heartfelt I just wanted to say to each and every one of you that I hope your dreams come true.  The fact that you have all taken the first step is wonderful in itself and YOU CAN acheive whatever you set out to...

Can't wait to see who Jean picks for the yummy treats!  And Jean, for the cost of shipping I'll bet there are plenty of people with apple butter on their minds right now...maybe you can help!

I am losing weight with the band and as a result I hope to be a model to others to jump in earlier than later. It is difficult to admit limitations, but at 48 years of age and having obsessed about "the next meal" for umpteen years, having had gestational diabetes, having seen Mom die young, and most importantly, having had lost and gained the same 40-50 pounds three times over, it was time to get some major help. . .The band was the best gift I could have given myself. . . It was worth every self-paid penny and more!

That Asian Plum chutney sounds devine!!!

Jean, you are always a huge inspiration to me, i often look to your daily menu's and what you are eating for the day as my example. thank you for being the wonderful person that you are.

My dream come true as a result of my weight loss with the band would be, for my parents who are in their 70's to finally see me slim and healthy. They have battled with me since i was a kid to get the weight off. And this is the final battle, and they paid for it. it has been a hard thing for my folks to watch me balloon to over 300lbs and be so unhappy in my life. My mother would love to take me shopping and send me beautiful clothes for b-day etc... but at my size, she just can't fit me. My dad worries about me constantly because of my weight. They love me and want me to be able to have a long life with my kids like they have with theirs. I want to be around for my kids too, and watch them grow and develope and have children of their own. I want to be around a long time to spend with the love of my life. The 4 short yrs we have had together so far just isn't enough. I want to grow old with him. I want to be able to do all the wonderful things that normal families do together, camping, hiking, boating, amusement parks, bike riding, sports. You get the drift.... And the next most important thing, is to for once in my life be able to stand naked in front of my man. I have NEVER stood naked in front of a man because i'm so ashamed of this ugly fat body i have been trapped in. One day all these dreams will be mine, and i will shout it too the world that i'm a success. Finally!

My biggest dream come true with losing this weight is 1 thing, to finally  walk the zoo with my grandson 8 yrs old who has been waiting patiently for me to lose the weight so we can do this.

He has already mapped out our adventure on the zoo website and has even included sit down breaks for Grandma.   If this is my dream and it comes true  I am one happy Grandmother for the rest of my life

I am not banded yet, but my biggest dream come true would be that the weight lose would put my multiple sclerosis into complete remission, and that I will be able to see my grandkids get married and give me great grandbabies.

I would be interested in the apple butter.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR BIGGEST DREAM-COME-TRUE AS A RESULT OF LOSING WEIGHT WITH YOUR LAP-BAND?

My biggest dream come true...honest to godness...is to run in the park with my kids and not get winded or hurt all over.  Sounds silly I know.

I want to be able to play with them and show them just what mommy can do. ;)

**any of the 3 would be wonderful**
