OptiFast vs. SlimFast???

As many of you know I am currently on OptiFast, by choice, to loose my pre-op weight faster.  The OptiFast is not bad, but is costing me about $110 per week, and I'm probably looking at at least 2 more weeks!  Does anyone know if SlimFast Optima is comperable?  Did anyone lose or do liquids successfully on SlimFast (still all liquid - no "sensible" meal)?  The biggest differences are:
                        OF                 SF
Calories             160                 180
Total daily cal    800 (for 5)       900 (for 5)
Fat                   2                     5
Fat cal              25                   45
Carbs                20                   23
Fiber                 0                     5
Protein               14                   10

So the OptiFast is 100 less calories so, I think if I did do SlimFast, I would need to do 4 shakes/day instead of 5.  Anywhooo....  just thought I'd ask!  Oh, and NUT won't call me back, so don't even get me started there!

Thanks & have a great Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try the Low-Card Diet Slim Fast Shakes,  I used them after my surgery and I loved the taste.  Lower in calories, carbs and sugars and taste great.

my nuritionist recommended the slim-fast high protein for the pre-op diet. these are the stats:
cal-110  with 8oz skim milk 200
fat cal-30                              35
fat-3.5g                                   4g
carbs-13g                                25g
fiber-4g                                           4g
protein-7g                                     15g

i really liked the taste. found it at wal-mart. on my pre-op i was told to drink 2 shakes(1 with an apple, orange, peach, or pear and 1 by it self). then i could have a sanwich for dinner. i lost 10lbs in the 2 week diet.
hope  that helps.

I was told to stay away from those drinks with high carbs. I use the atkins low carb protein shakes....15 Grams of Protein and 3 carbs.

ok no problem.  I didn't think 4 grams was high since the protein was 15 grams.  My NUT says anything that the protein is that much higher then the crabs, she said is a great number.

Good luck with your search.

I also drank Slim Fast Optima the first few weeks, but switched to powdered Whey protein  at home. I keep Slim Fast at work.
