The same thing happened to me as well. I managed not to gain any weight during the 2 month unfill. Now I have a small fill again, but I am paranoid about damaging my esophagus.

Thank you so much for taking time with all of our questions.  My question has to do with taking pills.  Do you advise against?  I would love to take vtamin supplements like fish oil, and B complex, but am afraid to swallow big pills.

Most patients can take pills but there is no way to predict without trying first.  Most fish oil capsules dissolve pretty quick.

Dr Curry Have you ever heard of using gastro graffin for fills vs the saline solution? My band is a 4cc band and I ahve 4.25cc's in it and dont have great restriction.  The ARNP who does the fills is suggestion using this gastro graffin as it is a heavier solution than the saline and gives a fuller fill? Ever heard of this?

Dr. Curry, Can you give any advice on esophagal (sp) spasms?  My throat makes very loud noises similar to stomach growling but much louder when I am eating, particularly early in the day when I am tighter.  This is very embarassing!

This is not uncommon...no magic bullets!

Celebrex is no problem with the band in my opinion.

Hi, Dr. Curry!  Thanks for being here for us. I'm back again with the "gas" question.  It seems like absolutely EVERYTHING I eat gives me a severe case of gas/bloating.  Could this inordinate amount of gas be coming from something else?  Do bandsters usually experience period bouts of severe gas?
