Way OT: Mixed Race boys hair ideas?????

hey jewels, i have a couple mixed raced nephews and i know for a fact that they don't wash their hair every night.  if his (your son(s)) hair is like his dad, do not wa**** every night.  we need the oil.  i use a light pink oil moisturizer on my daughters hair almost daily...her hair is really fine...  this will give him the oil he needs while not weighing his hair down with heavy stuff (if that makes sense).

Thanks for the advice.  It's hard to find "black" hair products where we live because it is mostly a white neighborhood - I'll have to do some searching but I'm sure I can find something!! 

Look on amazon.com ... you would be surprised what you can find there.

If he wants to grown it out why don't you try corn rows? that way for a little while you have some peace in the morning!

That could work!!!  I like that idea and I'm sure he'd think he was pretty dang cool. 

I think a little afro would be adorable. You could see about taking him to have his hair twisted into dreads. Also, try wraping his head before he goes to bed, kind of like black women do.

I could try wrapping his hair - he might think that is pretty cool too!

try cornrows, especially for the summer -- it'll look cool and it'll be cool in the heat --  I use Biosilk Silk Therapy for my 2 girls -- it is an amazing leave-in and only shampoo once a week, or every 2 weeks, they need their natural oils good luck!

I might give the cornrows a try.  I think he would look super cute in them!

I suffer from a rare case of hair anxiety...I have drap, no body, irish blonde hait and can do nothing with it so I feel for you trying to figure out something to do....I just cannot help you and may begin hyperventalating at any moment.......
