This Band is so fickle~

This Band of mine is so fickle! It has a mind of it's own - don't you all agree? So my first and last fill was on the 18th of March.  I've been good.  Not tight, but good.  I was supposed to have a fill on the 8th of April, but felt I was good, so I canceled it.  I'm so glad I did! This morning, I crushed my meds and took them with 2 oz of protein drink.  That was about 3 hours ago!  I drank some water an hour afterwards and it's just sitting in my throat.  I always crush my meds because my doctor has been adament about that! I'm not hungry, but I've got stuff I have to do, I don't want to leave home and then have the hunger hit!  I hate eating protein bars especially if I'm having a tighter day.  Maybe I'll pack another protein drink in a tiny ice chest and take it.   What a crazy day!

Yup, it's insane!  I wish I was inside my tummy and able to see what was going on!  I drink the thinnest of all protein drinks because I hate the thick ones!  You'd think that would have been gone by now!

I AGREE!!  I love my band so far, but it is so fickle . . one day I can eat something without a problem, the next day, same thing, NO WAY.  Or even at lunch one day try to eat something at lunch, can't, can totally eat it for dinner. Weird, but I am loving it.

I do love my band!  From the tips of my toes to the top of my head -- I'm in love with it! I hope I always have this affection for this fickle tool of mine!

Hey Dee!  I hope things are well with you!  My band is sooooooo fickle her name is Sybil!  I am over 2.5 years out...and everyday is still a guessing game, I never know what I'm going to get!  I think stress has alot to do with how much and of what I can eat.  I have been resorting to fish daily....beef just doesn't agree the last few months.  Along with stress...hormones is a key factor with me!  I'm glad you like your band, you are doing FANTASTIC!!  You'll be parading in a teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini by the end of summer!  Keep up the good work!  Be proud!

I understand what you are going through with the lap band, since my last fill, it's a guessing game, as to what is going to stay down on any given day. Shrimp, fish  and mushroom and crab stays down, so i have those and some cereal, or some homemade soups. But I am looking forward to spring and summer so that I can show off the  72 pds I've lose so far.
Losing to live.

Hi Start! Thanks for responding! Isn't that bizarre?  Most people can't eat Shrimp!  BUT you can! I haven't had a PB yet, (knock on my wooden head!) So I'm always fearful that what I am eating might change that!  It certainly keeps you on your toes - doesn't it? I bet you're loving your 72pd loss!  I can't wait to lose more!  I'm teetering between 48 and 50 right now.  One day, it's 50, the next it's 48.  I have my camera next to my scale, waiting to take that Landmark picture! Speaking of that, I should get my toes painted, just in case it's tomorrow morning! Enjoy your spring! AND thanks again for responding! dee~

Thanks Kiki! Yup, Sybil is an excellent name for my band too!  She's always wearing a different hat!   Anyway, I would be a little fearful of a teenyweeny yellow polka dot bikini!  My body will need some major plastic surgery before I venture out wearing anything that revealing! Thanks for your encouragement! Life goes on .... Love, dee~
