I'm so upset

It turns out that my surgeon has to be out of town on the 14th... so my repair date is going to be rescheduled again!   It's Not Fair  I am just so frustrated! Faint  I know it is hard to get all "ducks in a row".  The surgery can't conflict with my exam and lab schedule.  I want my dad here and he is a lawyer with a trial schedule (although his schedule is the easiest to work with).  Then I need both surgeons (with busy schedules) to get in the same city, in the same OR.  My surgeon wants to be there (he says that I'm "his girl" and since he is my surgeon, friend, and mentor, I want him there).  The expert is out of town often, so it's just hard to get all the schedules in order.  My schedule and my dad's schedule are the easiest to work  with.  My surgeon is trying for March 24th, but if that won't work... gasp... we are looking at mid to late April.   I am so depressed.  I seriously almost cried when I heard that.  No   So... I thought I'd let my friends know that the 14th is not likely going to happen...   Thumbs Down   No

ss that it looks like you will be wating a bit longer for the repairs to be done.  the frustration must be horrible especially now that  you know what the problem is. just keep in mind that the repais is still  happeneing  lot sooner than the length it took to find the problem . i know its eeasier said then done though . tara

It is frustrating... I have waited so long, have gotten worse as the year goes on.  To keep pushing it back is killing me.  My surgeon understands that, but it's hard to get his schedule and the expert's schedule to line up :(

AWw, that sucks!  Everything happens for a reason... Sometimes it takes us a while to see that...Maybe the stars will be better aligned at that time.

Yeah... I just wish that I could feel better.  It has just been going on for way too long and I just keep getting worse.  I had a massive asthma attack in the middle of the night from aspirating.  It's so frustrating.

Could be much worse......could be one of the posters on here with no money and no resources to get the money, or one of the people here who gets denied by insurance and has to beg borrow, steal, travel to even think of getting help and tehn wonder how to pay for after care. Could be Patrick Swayze. Could be a lot of things worse than waiting for TWO surgeons to be there...one just beause you are HIS GIRL. I ahve seen so much real tragedy on this board lately that I am afraid this small bump in the road simply does not measure on the richter scale.

Well, I guess when you feel like crap all day, all night, asperating at night, vomiting, chest pain, massive asthma attacks from the GERD, protein deficiency, and the list goes on.  So, forgive me that if my misery doesn't mean much to YOU.  I know that I am fortunate that I have insurance coverage, a wonderful father, and that my surgeon is very devoted.  It doesn't mean that I am not suffering and miserable on a daily basis.  After suffering like this for over a year and finally finding out what is wrong, I am ready to get the repair done.  My friends here on this board have been supportative and hoping that the repair happens soon, so I thought I'd let them know it will have to be pushed back a bit.  They sympathize with the problems I have had... and after a year of this hell (and getting worse), I am desperate to get this repaird!

Then get it done. There is nothing stopping you except waiting for a doctor you don't need there. IT has just gotten somewhat weird watching all of this indecision and inability to move forward without so much hand holding. You area a big girl on the eve of medical school and people are posting here.....not about discomfort they are unwilling to pull the trigger on, but serious, near death scares taht far exceed a fortunate persons discomfort. I ahve lived with chronic pain for decades and it is something you do something about or if you cannot do something, buck up. I don't think you realize just how many people read this and wonder what the real problem is that is any different than a high number of people's life experience.  So excuse me if MY syumpathies don't go through the roof for you every other week when you post yet another change of mind about what you will do.
