Starbucks Skinny Mocha..tried it?

Never had the skinny.. but i DID get a full fat, full sugar Peppermint Mocha ( I am pre-band and living it up just a bit ) and it tasted like the Cats A$$.  I dont know why. Like you said, it had a funny, plastic-y, almost amonia-ish like after taste.. Blecch!  What I usually get is a fat free Vanilla Latte.. its the BOMB!

Jennie, I've never tasted a cat's a$$ before but I have had the Peppermint Mocha and I thought it was yummy!  BUT I had a EggNog Latte and it was like the hamster's a$$.  It tasted like barf!!! Yuck!!!

To be honest, I have never had the pleasure of tasting Hamster A$$, but its probably quite similar to cats A$$. One of these days, maybe I will be on the receiving end of the Barf Nog Latte that you have mentioned, although I certainly hope not... In the past, I have had SEVERAL Peppermint Lattes, and they were always awesome.. top notch.. so good I didnt mind forking over $4.25 of my hard earned money.. so I have NO CLUE what the heck went wrong with that last one I had.. it almost tasted like cleaning fluid.  Yes, thats it.. the Cats A$$ mixed with cleaning fluid...

Yum!  Cat's A$$ with cleaning fluid sounds just delightful! Just as Hamster A$$ with a hint of Barf! The part about paying $4.25 for something that you just throw away ASAP before you end up throwing up is the part that sucks! I have friends and they would have forced themselves to drink it ONLY because they paid for it! I refuse to do that! About Dunkin Donuts!  I do not know how you could walk into that place and order a Skinny Latte! You must be extremely strong!  I'd cave! Muffins, I can take or leave, cookies, I don't care about, pie or cakes or cupcakes -- not my faves!  BUT donuts!  Well....  I'm sure after banding, I'll have to pass them up because I have a feeling they wouldn't be 'band friendly' dee~

Hey woman,  I have to admit something.. I am one of those idiots.. I actually FINISHED the Cast-A$$-A-Riffic latte.. why? believe it or not, I kept taking sip after sip because I kept thinking "It cant really tatse this bad.. maybe there is something wrong with my taste buds.. I have had a peppermint latte before and it always tasted great.." so I kept on taking sips until I emptied the cup, and the last sip was every bit as A$$-Y as the first.

 

As for being strong in Dunkin Donuts? Uhh, no...  99% of the time when I go in there, I walk out with a Maple frosted coffee roll along with my coffee. Now, the time I ordered the Latte Light, no.. I had only the coffee, but when I go in there and get the x-lg coffee with full sugar and full cream, a coffee roll comes along with it. this will DEFINITELY be a No-No after I am banded.. I am going to have to find out if I can do this every now and then, like for example, on my BIRTHDAY or something-- you know, once a year or whatever.. that coffee... that coffee ROLL..  OMG.. so NOT the Cats A$$!!

You're a kick Jennie! I'd have to leave Dunkin Donuts with a Buttermilk donut!  Yum!! That's my fave! WE don't have Dunkin Donuts here in Denver!  Or do we?   I haven't seen one, maybe I should check on the internet!  NOT!  It's best for me to believe that the nearest Dunkin Donuts is 444 miles away in ABQ.  Hummm, I need to take a road trip! Silly girl, I can't believe you kept drinking that Cat's A$$ drink!  YUCK!!! ARE YOU INSANE?

The SF drinks need fewer pumps than the standard, ask them for fewer pumps and the aftertaste goes away.

You are totally correct HooDooWoman! I have noticed that is exactly it.  One too many pumps and it's ruin! I also noticed when you add your own splenda, equal or nutrasweet, if you add to much it's gross! I usually like a Tall Soy Latte with one-half pink and one-half blue packet AND it's yummy!!!

I don't care for the taste of mocha drinks but have one skim cappuccino a day at Starbucks for a morning break at work.  They always had "skinny" drinks...you just had to ask for them.

Yeah I've been ordering them all along "Nonfat sugar free whatever" it's just funny they made up this new branding so that we just have to say "Skinny" now instead of the other four words.  The sugar free mocha syrup is the only 'new' thing in this whole scheme they've come up with. I may have to start trying them with fewer pumps, maybe my taste buds are more sensitive than they once were, always a possibility! ;)
