HI everyone, Lately I have been bad and I know I am not getitng enough protein. I read here awhile ago about a protein powder that does not have any taste or flavor that you sprinkle on food.  Can anyone tell me the name of it and where to get it? I was going to get some and keep it on hand in case I do not get enough. I am a nurse and work 12 hours and I eat erratically when I work, and now I am even working a second job....so 5 days out of the week where I do not eat regularly. Hope someone can help me out. Kathy V.

Hopefully to goal weight by Christmastime 2007!!!

HI I got mine at GNC its unfalvored protein powder, its called performance plus. its awesome. i put it in my crstal lite and sprinkle it on everything that has sauce.  honestly it will still have taste but as long as you put it with something with flavor it will work for you.  I bet anywhere should have some this is GNC brand.

Kathy, Unjury has an unflavored protein powder -  www.unjury.com -  but it does NOTHING  at all to promote weight loss. the band only works with SOLID  protein -   Sorry, but NO excuses to not eat well!! Not eating well is a good part of what got you in weight trouble, so eating BETTER is the only way OUT of weight trouble.  Please take your band Journey to better health seriously - protein powder is not the solution. If you're wanting to "sprinkle protein powder on food" why not simply eat better food?? you also need good carbs adequate fiber and calcium, and the omega 3 oils, and a daily adultt milti-vit. . Do you want powders of all of those ?  Plan and take decent meals and make time for them. You HAVE to take better care of yourself and get the nutrients you need from real foods to do well.  There just are no shortcuts that work. A little "tough love" here, becuase I care and want you to do great! Sandy R  at goal x 3.5 yrs

Hi Aimee, I'm at goal now, so eat a maintenance number of calories - for me, at my average activity level, that's about 2300-2500 cal a day. That's different than what i ate during my WEIGHT LOSS phase -so THAT is what i thnk you are asking about.   This is pretty much  my 1200-1300 cal a day for weight loss: Breakfast Hot tea first, sometimes, if it's cold out - if not, a glass of nonfat milk 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean with sliced strawberries, moistened with milk Oatmeal sometimes in the winter. 10:30 or so snack: cup of Dannon Lite N Fit yogurt with a few tbsp Kashi Lunch a cup of thiclk chili, thick sopup like Ban and Ham, tuna/ham/chicken "salad"  - all with fiber crackers. Sometimes deli wraps - a roll of deli meat rolled around a slice of lowfat cheese, dipped in lo-cal ranch or blue cheese dressing. Or a Smart Ones frozen "dinner" with meat and veggies only - not the potato and pasta and rice ones Afternoon snack a hardboiloed egg, piece of string cheese, a small piece of fruit occasaionally,  Raw veggies and nonfat dressing. Dinner a chicken  breast, fish steak, beef steak, porkchop, chopped sirloin patty - 3 -4 oz of solid meat -  and 1/2 cup steamed veggies with a nice sauce. A few tsp quinoa ofetn -love itm and it can be fixed a million ways - with gravy, butter, veggies and egg like fried rice, mushrooms, spicy with Wasabi. etc Sometimes, sushi - love it - choose the good meat and veggie pieces Occasionally, spaghetti with the good fiber and protein-rich SOY pasta, with a thick meat sauce and cheese/  The usual beef stews, pot roast, pork roasts, etc.  Occasionally a Healthy Choice frozen dinner and extra raw veggies 100 oz goal (was 64 then - didn't know more current info) of flavored water, herbal /hot/iced tea . other no-cal drinks. Occasaional glass of V8 - love it! Regular Fri or Sat night ice cream,  when we're out, and a  small piece of chocolate 2-3x a week.  ( i believe in regular planned treats and no depricvation)  Vits: chewable Centrum, 1 extra Biorin daily, calcium to = 1500 mg a day, counting food sources, sinc eI'm over 50. Also, 1000 mg flax seed oil for the Omega 3's essential to heart health Total: 1-1.5 cups of food per meal and about 1200-1300 calories Worked for me, but people have to eat what THEY like, from among the food bandster choices.  Hope this gives you some good ideas! NOW, at maintenance, i eat pretty mch the same, only more calories/quantity. I have an occasional "Nachos Bell Grande" for lunch at Taco Bell, a bit more dark chocolate   , and a few more rich sauces on things when we go out - but it's not much different. i NEVER EVER want to go back to where i was 5 yrs ago, so i'm reasonably careful now.  I weight weekly and the minute I am occasionally up 1-2 #, I cut back for a week-2. I know you are trying to help but there are people that want to add more protein to the food there are already eating!!! as for myself I only have a 3 ounce stomach so when I eat I need to make sure that I have enough protein to make 80 grams a day minimum so that's why I add protein to my food so you might not want to be so harsh on people about adding protein!!! God bless!!!
