Topic: RE: Selling my hubby's truck
Hey Beth, Can you email me the info on the truck? I have a friend in Alexander City who is looking for another truck. His is about dead on it's four tires. I'd go with a Toyota for your daughter. Great value even when it's 100 years old, lol. And they're relatively safe. Stay away from Kia's. I've got a rental Kia right now since I wrecked my Jeep and I hate it. It's a POS and it only has 6000 miles on it. Good to see you posting Gisela ignore the name, i'm steady trying to think of a new one

That would be wonderful! However, I don't have anyone to drive me TO the hospital. My psychologist and his wife were going to drive me home. One of them would drive their car and the other would drive my car to get me back. It's not chiseled in stone though. They are just going to "try" if they can. It all depends on the date too. My psychologist does these seminars sometimes and they are out of town and last several days so if he's gotta do one of those, he won't be available. But it will have to be a 2-person thing since I am planning on going down there the day before, getting a hotel room and doing the whole magnesium citrate thing there in B'ham. Don't wanna take magnesium citrate and drive 3 hours. I will need all the help I can get during those days though. Anyone who can come to my apartment and help me is going to be VERY welcome. I don't blame you for not wanting to leave the a/c. It is so freaking hot. I am burning up right now and I have the a/c on about 65 degrees and it's nighttime. My parents' a/c went out yesterday a few times, so I'm hoping theirs doesn't go out during this horrendous heat. It's a relatively new a/c, so it shouldn't be going out already. My a/c has never been anything to write home about. The vents need cleaning out, for one thing. Damned apartment. Well, I am going back to sleep. I am so tired. I love you! Joni

Topic: RE: OT: My Dog's poor ears
A natural remedy is: 1 oz citronella oil, 1 cup Cider Vinegar, 1 cup Water, 1 basil leaf, 1 bay leaf Some dogs ( and people) may be allergic to citronella oil. Before using the citronella in your fly repellent, test it on a small part of your dog's skin. If your dog has a reaction to the citronella you should use two tablespoons of lemon scented dish detergent instead. Putting citronella oil around the pen might help too. I don't know any tried and true remedies, but would probably ask the veterinarian to be sure. Keeping them inside during the day helps too, but that's not always something you can do. Damned flies...

Topic: OT: My Dog's poor ears
Hey everyone, My outdoor dogs tend to get fly bites on their ears. I have spent money on a lot of stuff...layered their pen with lime and hay and kept them out, ect. My girl dogs ears are awful...beefy red sores on both. I sprayed some antibiotic spray on them but they are terrible. Anyone experienced this and have an idea that worked. Oh...I also used Flys OFF from the Pet supply store. Thanks, Beth

Hey Joni, I am ranting right along with you. Don't worry about what one person says. Every person is an individual and has a right to their own opinion whatever that may be. In the US we have a right to our own and to disagree ( which I do, with her). I love ya girl and things are going to work out. You just hang tight. I'm just waiting on the day for you to post that you have a date and i will be jumping for joy with you. I was thinking maybe I could drive you home from the hospital when you get out. I know you said something about someone driving you to the hospital...I would be more than happy to bring you home and help you get settled in, maybe even stay with you a day if it is during the week and I could gets things straight here at home. I would love to. That's what friends are for. I promise I am going to get that surprise in the mail this week. It has been so hot I didn't go to the post office ...I didn't want to leave the a/c unless necesaary.... I love ya girlie.... Beth

Girl -- I could write a whole soap opera over the events that have transpired in the past couple of weeks! I think I've finally reached my boiling point and am in a "get it done" mode now! My brother, the Locust Boy, pissed me off so bad that I rewrote my Will on Monday and did an "Absolute Exclusion" clause and will be moving NO LATER than the 1st of September. He's so pissed at me about the move (he's already 2.5 months behind on his house payment, everytime the utlities get cut off - I've paid out of pocket to turn them back on [only for him to go out and spend $600-700 on CRAP for his boat], the constant raiding of the fridge, the boundaries he keeps stepping all over, etc. -- I've had it!) that he's even blaming me that it's 110 degrees outside! So now that I no longer have that "monkey on my back" things are looking much better on the home front for me (although very bleak for my brother, who will most likely go under within a couple of months of my leaving -- and I can't feel sorry for him since I've tried to help him and it's futile - he's dragging me down with him!) Helmut left Thursday for New York and we've left things sort of up in the air. I want to travel, I want a great job, I want to explore -- he wants me up his ass in New York and I'm not sure I want to go there -- so that one is being played by the ear as well. Finally cut the "friend" loose who stabbed me in the back... and let the "anger" baggage go as well... it wasn't doing me any good to dwell on it -- she actually did me a favor when I look at it in retrospect. Been doing a lot of "spring cleaning" in my personal life. Getting rid of the baggage, deadbeats, and negativity. Still a bit down in the chops over the job front -- but discovered I didn't complete the online resume and have since corrected that -- so there's new hope. Lots going on girl -- I feel like a nut case some days -- others not so bad! I'm still around -- although not online here much (spending entirely too much time on USAJobs.com and some other U.S. Department websites). I still have my heart set on getting paid to travel... now that would be the life! Love ya girl -- drop a line or call anytime!
