Topic: Why am I awake at 3AM?
Well, actually I've been up since 2 AM. So I will face my day with 4 hours of sleep but honestly at this point, I believe that sleep is WAY overrated anyway. I'm convinced that this insomnia will NEVER go away.
I'm baking cheese-bacon biscuits and banana nut muffins to surprise Pam with to take to her employees this morning. I sent some homemade toll house cookies last week and Pam came home and told me all her guys (they are all really young) want to marry me I'd gone to a BBQ last week with her at work and it was the first time I'd met them.....when I sent the cookies, her boss said, "she's hot AND she can cook???" Damn, what an ego boost I'm still in shock anytime anyone says anything about me and "hot" in the same sentence. I still have very much the fat girl mentality and guess I always will.
I walked in the living room at 2 AM to find that my Schnauzer has ripped up my new John Grisham book (The last Juror) that I've read 3 chapters ...... I guess I'll never know who the 'last juror' is
I went with Daphne for her first OB appointment today, or yesterday rather. She's about 6 weeks pregnant. Everything looks good. Her due date is March 31st. She goes to the same OB/GYN that I do and when we walked in (I haven't seen him since WLS) he DIDN'T RECOGNIZE ME ....I guess he's not used to seeing me with clothes on Oh, and get this....she's 6 weeks pregnant and weighs 85 pounds!!!! Can you imagine??? I think when she delivered the last baby she weighed 110 pounds ....I called her a skinny ***** She's only 4'9" so her weight is 'normal' but at 5' tall, I don't think I will EVER weigh 110....or hell 125 for that matter.
I also went shopping at Proffitts after work today. If any of you have a chance to get to the Galleria this weekend, they are having a GREAT sale. I spent way too much money but got some great deals.....all their clearance stuff is an extra 60% off! I got a pair of Liz Claiborne jeans that were regular 98.00 for 21.00! I'm really starting to enjoy shopping now (a little too much). It's so different being able to shop in ANY store. It has taken some getting used to, but I think I'm getting the hang of it
I got the "official" word today from my Regional Manager that my counterpart at work has indeed resigned. I had suspected that this would happen soon. So now instead of splitting my time between 3 accounts, I'm going to be going to about 7-10 accounts. Corporate America......how do they honestly expect me to even remember the names of that many people ???? We'll see how that goes I guess. I think I will just start calling everyone Honey or ****head (but I guess that wont make me much money, huh??)
Well, I guess that's enough rambling for now. Time to put another batch of muffins in the oven. Love ya'll

OMG...you have cracked me up girl. I match my eyebrows with my hair, everytime I cover the gray. I don't do the downstairs cause my honey likes it smooth...so I usually just shave. I try not to let it grown out too long before hand or it's like trying to get a brillo pad to go down the drain...LOL
I used Clorox soft scrub on my spots I can't get up with normal cleaning. Have a special towel and coverup I use when I do my hair. You are a nut girl. I'm sitting her smiling like a fool at 4 a.m. in the morning. Hehehehe
I'm glad your mom feels better about the surgery, that is good. Helicobacter Pylori is the bacteria that can cause problems if you ever get and ulcer, a lot of people have it in there digestive system. When found it is treated by a combination of meds to clear it up, which is good. My uncle Eddie had this bacteria on top of ulcers and wouldn't go to the doctor, he just kept taking over the counter antacids. He developed stomach cancer and died. Girl, that has been the hardest thing for the family to deal with. Especially my grandmother. He could have treated it and never let it got to that point. Some men. My hubby had it and we had the bacteria treated immediately. The bacteria is gone and his Endoscopy with Colonoscopy ( the light they run in your innards) both look good with no signs of an ulcers. I didn't mean to drag on just thought you might understand the importance of testing for this bacteria. My husband had that a few years back and hasn't had any more problem with it. I'm glad you are getting it treated. I wish you all the luck in the world with all your testing and your approval. How is your arm anyway???

I have problems with this too, but mainly when I am under a lot of stress, even if I think I am handling the stress well.
I have adult attention deficit disorder, so Adderall XR helped some. I haven't been taking it for a long time and would like to start again, but I think it's on the list of drugs for after surgery, so it doesn't seem worth the effort to start taking it if I'm going to have to stop taking it. I'm not sure if Strattera is on the list of drugs not to take or not.
Anyway, the best person to tell you is the doctor, so have him check it out.
He may want to do some MRIs on your brain. They did on mine, which is when they found the cyst on my pituitary gland. They don't seem to worry about it much, but I feel that they should have taken it more seriously since the pituitary gland is tiny enough without having something on it.
But again, there's no way I would have known about the cyst if I hadn't had the MRI.
Take care of yourself. And let us know what the doctor says.
Love you,
Joni

Oh my gosh, I can just see that! When I used to dye my hair red, I had to work really hard to get all the dye off the walls and I had a specific towel I used for my hair. It would get better after a few days and wouldn't bleed everywhere. All that is another reason I stopped dying my hair...too much trouble. But dang, I loved my red hair.
I discovered from my surgeon that I have shrank myself. I now am only 5'10". But like you said, it made my BMI go up, which is a good thing with this surgery. If only, as we grew older, our FAT CELLS would shrink instead of our height!
The H-pylori test is a normal test for the surgery. The meds should make the bacteria go away and everything should be just fine. I was so shocked when my test was okay because it seems like, with me, everything that can possibly go wrong, will go wrong.
Glad you liked Dr. Freeman and that your Mama is happier with it now.
Well, I am off to try to sleep. Since I have to go get my blood pressure checked every friggin' day, I have to drag myself out of the apartment every day instead of having my "rest days." But I don't see paying for a blood pressure monitor if I am only going to use it for two weeks. If it continues, I will probably have to go to the expense of getting one, but for this two weeks, I'm not paying out that kind of money. I went to CVS today and got it checked. The chair attached to it was not built for fat people and I almost didn't get it in and then I almost didn't get out of it, but at least I got it checked. I'm going to my sister's house tomorrow to get her to take it. I can't believe she agreed to do it, but I will have to go to Sheffield and catch her on her lunch break. Since she only works two blocks from my apartment, I thought she could come by after work and take it, but that would be too much trouble for her, so I'm going to go to her house, even though I have so much trouble with the stairs going up to her house. Beggars can't be choosers.
Anyway, thanks for the update! Sounds like you had an eventful trip!
You know how you can get that red dye out of things? Use Visine....it gets the red out!
Love you,
Joni

Are you eating carbs? getting enough water? My doctor told me not to eat any carbs, but then I started having memory problems like you are describing. So I eat carbs everyday, now. I think he was Sometimes I still have those moments, but I can always attribute it to not getting enough water or carbs.
