"One of the highest places you can get to is to be independent of the good opinions of other people."
"What other people think of me is none of my business."
-Dr. Wayne Dyer
I spend too much time worrying about what other people think, not so much now as in the past. I hope I can reach a point someday where no one's opinion matters but mine. I have come a long way with this. But I still have a ways to go.
Love ya'll,
Joni
Topic: RE: What a Weekend!!!!
Welcome home! I had posted a long post to this post once already and it disappeared, so I guess we've got some more voodoo going on here. I think I just clicked the Preview button and didn't go further and click the Submit button. Maybe I wasn't in a submissive mood!
Anyway, welcome back!
Love you,
Joni

They ran all the good people off? Just a thought.
Where was there an Indian Festival????

Topic: RE: Sweet and Sour Chicken
Sounds good. I've made something similar in the crock pot before.
I put a cut-up chicken in the crock pot or in a big pot and just boil it either way. I add enough BBQ Sauce and Coca Cola to cover it and boil it for about an hour...can't remember how much with the crock pot. I love that stuff, but it makes me sick as a dog. I usually use a whole bottle of the BBQ sauce and most of a 2-liter Coke. Sometimes I put some chunk pineapple in it. I love pineapple and chicken together.
Anyway, it was some good ol' greasy tasty stuff.
I guess they make SF BBQ sauce.
They've been showing BBQ stuff on the Food Channel.
Ok, I'm hungry now...
Love,
Joni
Topic: What a Weekend!!!!
Hey my loving family members! I sure missed ya'll this weekend!!! Lindy & Teann kept me posted on all the good stuff!
Friday night's graduation went well for the first 15 minutes then the rain made them move it inside and only 6 people per graduate could go in so we all went back to my Moms' house and waited for my niece to get there after graduation. She was stunning but on Saturday she was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!! The wedding started at 2:00 and I cried from about 2:05 until it was over. The songs they sang were wonderful. Keeper of the Stars was the first one and the next two were a blur but right b4 my niece came down the aisle, she was standing at the back of the church with her Dad (my brother) and they played Butterfly Kisses. Anybody that knows that song knows that when you have a beautiful bride & her father standing at one end of a church and the groom at the other awaiting his lovely wife-to-be, it's a tear jerker. We were all crying, including Anna ( my niece) and my brother!!! The pictures will be absolutely gorgeous and when I get them scanned in (when we get them) I will share on my yahoo photo album.
I am very tired and fixing to try to go to bed (YES, at 6:45 p.m.) I had to drop Dylan off on the way in and I'm a bit depressed about that on top of being totally exhausted.
I will try to catch up on the board tomorrow (WHEN I get out of bed).
Just want to say a quick hello & welcome to Linda, Traci & Beth. Beth, I emailed you a few days ago to check on you. I had inquired about you several times and nobody knew anything. I figured there was a man involved in there somewhere!! Traci, great to see your beautiful face (get that computer fixed soon). Linda, good luck with whatever path you decide to travel down. We're all right there with ya. Glad you are all with us now!!
Love you all,
Dixie
Topic: RE: I need your prayers, please.
Prayers incoming for you. Wishing you the best of luck with everything.
You do not look terrible. You look WAY younger than your photo though!
You must be feeling weird, after all you've been though, to be saying you need to stop losing weight. I can't imagine even losing one pound and I can't imagine ever even getting to have the surgery and lose anything, but to ever be able to say I need to stop losing weight...now that I just cannot imagine.
Hopefully whatever is wrong will straighten out the problem. I'm sure the diarrhea isn't helping the weight loss.
I wish I could give you some of my weight!
Good luck with the job too! A shorter drive and more money always helps! The chaos at McDonald's would drive me nuts, but there was a time I might have been able to handle it.
We love you and will all be sending good thoughts, prayers, lighting candles and all the stuff we all do so everything will be well with you.
