Topic: Self Reward??
Hi all! I hope everyone is having a great Thursday! I am so looking forward to the long weekend. Month end is wearing me out 
Every since I had surgery, I've told myself that when I lost 100 pounds, I was going to do something special for myself as a reward for my accomplishment. But when I hit that point a few weeks ago, I'm drawing a blank! I can't seem to find the right "something". I want it to be something long lasting.....possibly jewelry.....but then I started thinking about getting professional portraits made. It's been a really long time since I've had my picture made......I would love to do that, but am so not photogenic and scared that I would be dissapointed with the results! Also, I wouldn't want the Sear portrait studio type pictures.....but really unique ones. Does anybody know a photographer that is good and not too far away? Maybe I will do a google search and see what I find, but I would love references.
So what about you all? Did you do or will you do something special for yourself as a reward for losing weight/getting close to goal, etc? I'd love to hear your ideas!

I think the dairy products you are taking in may definately be a big problem you are having. Also, are you eating faster than normal. When I eat too fast I get the pain you are describing in my belly. But, I definately get gas when I eat a salad. I don't know what it is but everytime! Now as far as dumping more the further out I get, I really can't say. Somedays I can eat something and not dump and the next day I can eat the same thing and dump. I really can't answer that one for you! I hope you get this worked out and maybe you should call your surgeon and get his take on the situation.

Congrats on your new puppy Dixie!! My newest little baby (1 year old schnauzer) is at the vet today getting 'fixed' so there will be no more little ones for us. I've only had her for about a month and already I am so very attached to her. I named her Lilly Belle. We have a heard of animals too...6 dogs and 5 cats .... the cats live in the basement because I am allergic. Glad your little bundle of joy brightened your day! It's weird how we always get exactly what we need!

Hey Beth! Sorry to hear about your dumping all the time....that must be the pits. Personally, I've only ever dumped one time and that was from sweet tea at Jacks (i ordered unsweet, put splenda in it w/o tasting and didn't know until too late). I have to be extremely careful with any raw vegetables or they give me horrible gas. Also, if I don't chew very well or eat too fast I get queasy or gassy. Luckily, I haven't had any problems with Lactose intolerance but I know a lot of post ops do. It probably wouldn't hurt to check in with your doc!

My step-daughter, Layla, just called me and asked if I would come & get her & Dylan. Said she felt like she was "invading" their (mom, step-dad, sister)'s space and did not feel welcome at her mom's house anymore. She has a beat-up old truck and doesn't think it will make it up here (she lives 35 miles away). I am on my way out the door in just a few minutes to go pick them up. PLEASE PLEASE send us some good vibes! I would love nothing more than for them to move in here with us. TWO of my babies are coming home and the third one (Scott) will be home tomorrow night!!!!!!!! The only one that'll be missing is Beau!!! It's been a loonnngggggg week for me.

YOU ARE going to win. You are going to get your surgery soon. I WILL be coming to see you and I PROMISE that if you need anything I WILL do my best to take care of it while you are there in the hospital. So look up....it's going to happen for you soon. When does the M.D. resubmit your paperwork? Aren't you close to your 6 mo diet ending?

Not tonite hunny, I gotta headache and a whopper of a belly ache, my cramps sure are much worse since surgury! I hope this is what all his pain is and NOT something else.
My grandsons got a puppy! Part Rottweiler and part something else I never heard of but she sure is a cutie patootie! Right now, her name is just "fwuppy" 
we are waiting to see what they end up calling her.
