ABSOLUTELY!!!... I love the Auburn area, that is where your's is right?...LOL...I even considered moving there, and looked into nursing jobs in that area once upon a time. I am a displaced AUBURN fan smack dab in the middle of Roll Tide HELL.

Topic: Im one PROUD Mama
Im one PROUD Mama today. I know I talk alot about my only daughter, and her life but I also worry ALOT about her and her little ones. The one thing I wanted for my kids was to at least graduate high school, neither did, even with the promise of a car upon graduation (okay it was bribery but it worked for me when my Dad made the offer ). My daughter dropped out 17 and at 19 , started her family. I have harped until I gave up on her getting her GED and going back to school. Lets face it, you can not make it in this world with a decent paying job, and benefits unless you have an education.
I want to go back to school, and my dream is to start in August. This morning she told me she went online last night and took her GED test and passed, and when she gets it in the mail, she will see if the community college will accept it, and start taking classes towards a degree that she hasn't quite decided on yet. You cant always be so sure they will accept an online GED so if they dont, she will go ahead and get it from the community college program, then proceed further.
I also have to credit her ex. He told her if she didn't want to work, she would have to go back to school and work on a degree ( he is such a positive influence on her!!) They will be moving back in together, but I strongly suspect wedding bells soon too. Anyway, she has made the decision to start back to school, and get a degree. Now we just need links for grants and scholarships... I coulnt be more happier and I am thrilled to see such POSITIVE changes! I have encouraged her to take this offer, it is not easy to have to work and go to school too, like I will have to do.
Love,
Sandy

Hi Sandy! I definately know how you feel about getting rid of things that have a memory attached to them. I just can't do it either. It is bad though, because Dale is bad about it too! We have so much stuff!

Hi Linda! GLad to see you posting, I hope this means you are feeling much better! Thanks for the congrats! I am really not looking forward to all the work but I have a lot to look forward to after the fact! What is so funny is that our storage shed is close to packed already and we still have more to put in there.

Congratulations Gail!
I dont envy the job ahead. Im not leaving this house unless the rent goes up then I will look for something to BUY, but I have accumulated TOO MUCH over the years too and everytime I move, I throw away but it seems to grow. One problem is I am very sentimental and have to hang onto memories. I cant throw out memories, so I have things after my mom's death, and ALOT after my sister's death, that I just can not part with until the day I die. I must start going through it when my daughter moves out, and send some of it with her. I save the stupidiest stuff, with no reasoning behind it other than it holds a memory. I KNOW what the problem is, I just have to learn not to hang on to so much.
Cant wait to see the pics!

Sandy

DIXIE!!!
Ive been wondering where you were, glad to see you! Alot of life changes in store for you guys if Layla and Dylan come to stay but you will absolutely ADORE having them around! I love my daughter and little ones, but after 3 years I am ready for her to be independant on her own again. I just feel she should know how to live, IF something were to happen to me and not be so dependant on me for her survival and her children's. I WORRY about that ALOT! She moves out at the end of the month but my 4 yr old grandson will still come over here every day that she works, until he starts pre K in August.
You and Lindy Lou be careful and have a SAFE road trip!!! These Blue Bunny Carb Freedom Popscicles are the bomb! Butter Pecan, White Chocolate Almond, Chocolate Raspberry and if they dont make me dump , they should be okay for everyone. Look for em!
Love,
Sandy

Hey Gail!!! Congrats on the house. I know you are excited. To find the house is very exciting. Good luck in selling your house. I understand about the packing. I packed some stuff just to get a lot out of our old house to get it ready to sell and we already have stuff in storage. The storage room is the biggest and it is almost full. I can't wait to see your pictures....

Linda
