Hey Jacquie! I think from my intial consultation (in June 04****il my surgery in Sept 04, I gained about 15 pounds but my Dr. required me to do a low carb/low fat diet for 7 days prior to surgery and I lost about 10 of it before surgery. It's TOTALLY normal to have your farewell tour of your favorite foods. In my group of closest friends, 3 of us have now had WLS in about 2 years.....as each of our surgery dates approached we had what we called "fat feast" with the person's favorite foods and ate and ate and ate. Looking back now, it seems kind of silly to me. My MIND was telling me that I would NEVER be able to eat those things again, but now 9 months later that is simply not true. It's very rare that I can not tolerate something. If I crave something now, I give in and it either 1. Doesn't taste as good as I thought it would. 2. Makes me sick (very rare) or 3. Satisfies the craving. For me, I had this surgery to live life more like a "normal" (whatever that is ) person and "normal" people have cravings for food! But thanks to this tool, I can only eat the toppings off of 1 slice of pizza instead of a whole pie!!
Good luck to you and enjoy your feasts!! Oh yeah, I noticed your BMI is not that high, if you don't mind me asking what size clothes are you wearing? I've got boxes of 12, 14, 16 and 18's if you are interested.
Hugs,
Kim

I get so upset that all these problems could be alleviated with WLS probably and you are having to wait, wait, wait for it. It sucks.
Let us know what the doctor says.
We love you!

Remember I told you about the "Farewell Tour of Restaurants"....when we were at Olive Garden? LOL (I actually would like to tell that Tuscan Garlic Chicken "Farewell" one more time...)
I've gained 10 lbs. since my first appt. with the surgeon back in December.
If you want to tell Casa Mexicana goodbye, don't forget to call me!
This is normal.
I've been wearing only pants with elastic for quite some time now. If it makes you feel any better, I weigh over 100 lbs. more than you. You're just a lightweight.
I guess this isn't what you wanted to hear....
Love you!
Joni who can't wait for the two of us to go out looking for tiny clothes...

Topic: Not doing well
Hey everyone. I am at work tonight and I don't know how I've made it. My right bottom of my foot is so numb and hurts so bad to walk on. It is hurting all the way up through my calve. I am going to have to call the doc when I get home. I am also having shortness of breath again with some left side tightness and pain. I am tired of not feeling well. HELP>>>>>

Its 12:03 and yep I went from 295 on my first surgeons visit to 302 day of surgery. I gained ALL the weight, the last week before surgery and I pigged out on everything. I wish I hadnt. None of my clothes fit, now the one outfit I had to pay alot for because it was a bigger size is way too big, so I didnt get much use out of it. One thing is for sure I ate enough fried stuff (fish, shrimp, chicken) to last me a lifetime...LOL
Dont worry, it will pass too during the process but the closer to the actual date you may have alot of "last suppers"
Love,
Sandy

OMG Gail it absolutely my dream home! The first photo I can easily see it resembling a tuscan, old world decor, like a sidewalk cafe in Vienna... okay I watch too much Trading Spaces but I can see Frank Bilec turning this room into that, leaving his artistic masterpieces behind. I know him that well! GORGEOUS house, I know your walking on air. I certainly would be! Gotta lot of room to chase Dale.. I mean DAKOTA
Love,
Sandy
