The News!

Dang! I was jus****ching a little snippet of the news and it was talking about 45 minute long waits at the gas pumps and that there was a rumor that truckers were going on strike and we might not have available gasoline until Labor Day! Ok, I HAVE GOT TO GET TO BIRMINGHAM TOMORROW AND NEXT THURSDAY. This damned thing had better not make me have to postpone my surgery! I have 3/4 tank gas right now, which will get me to B'ham tomorrow, but it won't get me back, so ya'll send some good thoughts that I find a gas station that's open and has gas. Man, oh man, oh man. I always have so much trouble finding full service stations since my legs won't hold me up long enough to pump my gas. I don't know how I am going to function if I have to wait in line for 45 minutes at the gas tanks. I have an appt. in Decatur with my psychologist next Tuesday too, so I need gasoline! That's all I need...something else to worry about. I have enough trouble as it is. I got elected to create a message board thing for my family, so I did that and now one of my cousins is emailing me telling me she can't figure it out and I'm going to have to make it easier! Well, it's a yahoo group. You don't get much easier than that. Ok, the OH board is easier, but I can't fix one up like this. I tried to explain to her that all the things to click on were on the left hand side of the page and you just click on it and it tells you what to do. Nope, it's too hard. I am going to have to FIX IT, she says. Her daughter subscribed to it this afternoon, so maybe she can go over there and teach her mom how to use the computer. Geez. You just can't please anyone these days. Well, I am off to try to get some rest. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow driving to B'ham and back. Love, Joni

You should be able to fill up tomorrow. I have not seen any long gas lines here, most are vacant in fact. One by my house ALWAYS goes down on his price when everyone else goes up, so this one stays busy. Other than that, tommorrow may be your best bet to fill up before all this other starts. I didnt see the news, so I am once again, clueless. Something has to give with gas stuff. I see it getting worse, instead of better, before all is said and done. Arent relatives FUN...... You cant get any easier than yahoo and if my grandmother can teach me how to use the computer at the age of 85 ( when she was 85) then I KNOW this relative can figure out yahoo My grandma, absolutely is the one who taught me how to use a computer! Thanks! I read on the local newspapers website that it wasn't true, that there was plenty of gasoline, but someone had started the rumor and everyone had flocked to the gas stations. Even had to have police to monitor traffic at one of the stations. Come to find out, all the hullaballoo was only here in the Shoals Area. So I should be fine today. If I can just get woken up..........zzzzzzzz. Took me forever to get to sleep and now I'm up again. Couldn't sleep worth a flip last night, but if I could go back to bed right now, I'll bet I could sleep until noon. Oh well. I will talk to you later, Love, Joni
