Need good thoughts today...father in law going for surgery

Hey everyone, My father in law went down yesterday for a cardiac stress test and is completing an echocardiogram today. Yesterday the docs said everything looked fair and that after the echo today he would be going for his amputation. We are all very worried because he has had extensive cardiac problems over the past years and he is diabetic also. It is a very scary situation. They didn't want to operate on him when he broke his ankle due to his medical history. Now, they have to operate because he has gangrene in this foot. They will be doing a below the knee amputation today. I am going to be heading to the hospital very shortly. Please everyone...keep my family in your thoughts. Thanks. Beth
