Yup, diagnosed with bilateral carpal tunnell. I am suppose to have had surgery last year. I refused. It is a 12 week recovery process. I cant be off from work for 12 weeks. I was put on Neurontin 600 mg at HS and ALL my painful symptoms went away! Sometimes I take 100mg in the day time but the stuff makes me so drowsy I rarely do. I slept like a baby taking Neurontin, no pain whatsoever. Maybe your pcp will try you on this. Good Luck! Sandy

Hey Beth! I had surgery on my right hand for carpul tunnell in 1998 and have had not problems with it since. The surgery wasn't that bad for me. I was off work for a week I think and then went back to light duty (office job) and did fine. Prior to surgery, I had several Cortizone shots in my wrist and they would help for a couple of weeks. Good luck to you! kim
