Status

Ok everyone, here is my current status. I have had the pulmonary function test, the stress test, and all other tests on my heart--have stent and had to have extra tests. I am scheduled for a sleep apnea test on July 26th. On July 28th at 8:00 a.m., I have an appointment with Dr. Freeman's office in Anniston. This appointment is for educating people desiring WLS. My initial talks with his office seem positive. I do not have to have pre-approval and I meet the requirements (which are 39 bmi, hypertension, high cholesterol, fibromyalgia, heart disease). So . . . send up some positive thoughts for me. Now that it is looking so positive as to me having the surgery, I am becoming a little frightened. Jacquie

One other thing. I am thinking about taking my Mother with me to the first appointment so that she can have questions she has answered. Is that a mistake?

Hey Jacquie! Great news sounds like you are well on your way to being a loser! If you think your mom will be a supporter, then I think it's a great idea to take her with you - especially if she has reservations! Sending you some prayers and well wishes Kim

I am sending positive thoughts. This surgery has been wonderful for me. I started at my highest weight being 251 pounds and I no weigh 128. I just can't believe the difference. Good luck to you!! Linda

I think it is always best to have a family member with you, it will help them understand the process and to learn this surgery is not as bad as some in the media try to make it out to be. Good Luck! Sandy
