KICK MY BUTT NOW (Please)
Ok Ladies ....... I am having a serious backsliding week and need someone to kick my ass and tell me to get back on track. I'm UP 4 pounds since last week and KNOW what I am doing wrong (eating too many carbs, drinking too much caffeine and carbonation and not enough water, grazing constantly, etc.) but can't seem to stop my behavior!!
I am having an extremely stressful week at work and just like always, turning to my old friend "FOOD".
It's so weird how I go from one extreme to another......for weeks I hate food and then for weeks I eat constantly
I hope everyone is having a great week!

Joiee on the BB has an easy for for that one..."Just put the food down."
I know it sounds too easy, but guess what, it is! Just put it down and find something else to do. Think about something else. I also tend to eat when stressed so I have to go do something else. I really have no major advice! Good luck, I think alot of us go through these phases, I know I do!

Kim -- you CAN do it! Drop the carbs and your cravings will stop! The carbs spawn on the hunger/munchie bug - they burn off way too quickly and up the insuline levels in your system. So back away from them!
If you feel you just HAVE to snack -- get some sugar-free popsicles, beef jerkey, pork rinds, cheese, etc. If you'll munch on high end proteins, it will take a hell of a lot longer to digest and you'll stay full much longer!
As for constantly eating -- whenever you get the urge to munch -- drink a 16 oz. glass of water first. You can't have ANYTHING until that glass is finished. That will take up a lot of intestinal space which will block you from being able to eat as much.
You know the tricks -- you just have to impliment them! 4 lbs. won't kill you -- you CAN get them back off! Don't beat yourself up -- if you do, you're just going to backslide even worse!
You know what it takes to get there -- dust yourself off, jump back in, and get it going!
Love ya girl --

Kim,
You have done so well in the past and you look great (I saw the picture taken at the Mexican restaurant). Don't beat yourself up for slipping, just remember how far you have come and how much better you feel and look. Food is not worth sacrificing all you have accomplished. You can do it--you have done it--you got to shop at Victoria's Secret for something other than cologne and body wash. Hats off to you.
