Cousins, cousins, oh my COUSINS!
Well, we had a BLAST at my grannys 90th birthday celebration on Saturday! In fact, I am still tired from Saturday but what joy to see some favorite cousins I haven't seen in 30 years! Its sad but they are spread out all over the US. My favorite cousin, I loved the most, growing up grew up living in Conneticut. Our summers at my grandparents were memorable, now she is living in Florida (somewhere near Daytona) and I plan to keep in touch and hopefully go spend some time with her this fall, when it isnt so hot. We can stay in touch through email, and such which she never knew my addy or phone number and vice versa, but it was so wonderful to make contact again after all these years. I think we had close to 200 in attendance, and as soon as I get my pictures back will share!
Off to get ready for work, oh I pray I have some good info on shift changes when I go in today, cross your fingers!
Love,
Sandy
Hey Sandy! I'm so glad you had a good time!! and happy birthday to your GRANNY.....90 years wow, what stories she can tell I bet 200 people, that sounds like my family. I'm the youngest of my Mother's six children and we have HUGE family reunions! I can't wait to see the pix. I hope you are having a great week

Kim,
It was the first family reunion we have had in 20 years or more. It seems once they started dying off we just stopped having them. It was probably the last one, unless I arrange something in the years to come, which I hope to keep up.
Yeah buddy my grandma tells me the most fascinating stories, like when Jesse James passed through Pickens County, and spent the night in my ggg GF's barn. I wish back in those days they had cameras handy like we do now, or some way to prove this. I have no doubts it isnt true, she would not make this up. I did research this, and Jesse James was in Alabama during this time. This was when he was accused of robbing a bank in Mobile. Ive added it to the "Family Lore" since somehow I ended up being voted the official family historian. Now I have to get back into my research, which I have missed doing.
I feel very blessed to still have her, and for her to still have her memory and be in as good shape as she is in both mentally and physically. I know she wont live forever so everyday is precious. Work sux...LOL... It may take another month before they officially change my shift. I think they are just jerking my chain, so I did call about the online application I submitted. This hospital did not recieve it so fortunately I saved a copy and sent it to them yesterday. Crossing my fingers n toes... Hope your day is better!
Love,
Sandy
