Not S/F / FF.....but help!!

Hey all! Tomorrow is my SO's birthday and I threw out the recipe for these chocolate cookies that have a cream cheese filling (how sinful does that sound )......Help!! any chefs out there have any ideas?? I cut it out of a magazine years ago and when I was pissed off over not being able to eat anymore after surgery (so I thought ), I threw it out and can't remember what magazine it came from.......I've searched all morning for a similar recipe but cant find anything!!!! All I've heard for a week is about those damn cookies and I REALLY need to save face here (since I was sick on our anniversary Tuesday ) The cookie part is chocolate with chocolate chunks and you make them really big (like oatmeal cream cakes ) spread a cream cheese mixture and put 2 of them together to make a "sandwhich".......Please ......I promise I wont eat them but really want to surprise my Sweetie (who is depressed over getting older ) Kim

go to the food network website and search under Gale Gand's recipes. She does the "Sweet Dreams" segments, or did when I watched Food Network and I watched her make some cookies silimar to this, may not be the same but she does make make some sinfully delicious stuff!

I think an easy out for the filling would be to use a ready made cream cheese icing. If you needed to tone it down a bit, mix in softened cream cheese. Good luck! Gao;
