I can't believe I am typing this, but........ Do you or anyone you know use the Nuva-Ring contraceptive??????? Stop laughing! I cannot stand them b/c of migraines, but have a sealed one & the timer (yes, timer)to give away. I hate to toss it b/c they are pricey. Love ya! Lindy

Im not laughing, I promise. I never heard of the thing you are describing and I absolutely know I do not need one, Ive had surgical intervention in . Now Im curious, is this something you need a prescription for? Or something you can just pick up at the drugstore? Elspeth!

You have to have a prescription for the ring. Remember the sponge?? It works like that. I could wear it as a bracelet it is so big The ring was misery on my headaches, as is the pill and patch! Love ya!

never heard of the sponge either but that does create a visual at least. I had natural childbirth and by the time I finished cursing my doctor, birthing this baby and basically doing everything but spitting pea soup at him, he was more than happy to tie my tubes! Love, Elspeth!

Question, what does the timer do? I mean, I know what a timer does, but why do you need a timer with this contraceptive? Love Ya! Gail

The timer is kinda cool. As soon as you get the ring in place you start the timer so it keeps track of when u are to take it out.

Then what does the timer do to tell you to take it out? Does it ring or buzz or something? That would be interesting if it happened in Wal-Mart. Or during sex....Stop! Time to take out the ring! My, things have gotten more complicated since I was contraceptisizing (new word I just made up on the spot!) Lindy wears a bracelet in her.... Greg is going for the brass ring!
