New...and confused....
(((((((BECKY)))))))))
Hey sweetie!
OF COURSE you will find support here, girl!
After being burned several times by so-called friends/christians on several boards, not just Bama board, and I've received a buncha hate mail about my life and the way I live, well, I had to go SOMEWHERE, and these BEAUTIFUL ladies swooped me up and now I just don't wanna go no where else!
We all have been the "outsider" at one point in time, but hey, I shouldn't be able to trust anyone now after what I've had to put up with but you know what? THESE LADIES ARE GENUINE ON HERE!!!! Everybody here loves each other and we're all crazy, goofy and just plain silly sometimes
You just jump right on in with your posts, whatever you wanna talk about ok? We will support you!
Have a great Hump Day
Beth
Hey Beth!
I'm glad to hear you say that the ladies on here are genuine. That's a big thing in my book. I want people to know that I am the same way online as I am in real life...I'm consistent...I won't be hot one day and cold the next. I'm straightforward, but try not to be ugly in the way that I handle things. LOL...one very valuable lesson that my mom taught me (one of many) was the abilty to nail someone's ass to the door in the quietest, gentlest way. Other teachers scream at kids...I get really quiet and close to them and whisper...you have exactly two seconds to sit down sweetie before I do something you won't like...they're just a blur as they move!
Hope you've had a great day too!
Becky
Hey Becky,
I am glad you are here. You will find support here. The group here is supportive of you no matter what. We give NON CONDITIONAL support...it doesn't matter what your lifestyle choices might be or what you believe in...we support the cause of WLS. Not everyone is always going to agree with one another but we are all adults and we here AREN'T going to bicker about it. Welcome to the board. I am looking forward to chatting with you later.
Beth
Hi Beth! It's good to meet you. I think that as adults we can agree to disagree, but it can be done peaceably. Sometimes I think one of the hardest things to do is to let something go. We want people to see things from our point of view, but sometimes they can't or are unable to. Forcing the issue only makes it harder. I look forward to getting to know you too.

Becky -- it's nice to meet you and welcome to the forum. I should probably appologize for the previous posts, however, it is a reflection of our frustration regarding past events. We were stifled as individuals and silenced on the boards (sometimes for good reason - but mostly because of a few crying "wolf" and DEMANDING our posts be removed [and in all honesty - most of the posts that were pulled did not violate the TOS - it was because we simply did not "fit in" there]). So we ventured over here with, in my opinion, the cream of the crop! You will find unconditional acceptance here -- if you want to vent - we'll let you -- if you want to celebrate, we'll put on our party hats with you. This forum is completely UNMODERATED - so we have all agreed that if we disagree, we will disagree maturely and respectfully of one another.
You are more than welcome to jump in at any time - to speak freely -- to speak your mind. If we can help you in any way, we are here for you -- and we also look forward to you leaving your mark in our lives by freely sharing your thoughts with us! We're all in this together - regardless of where we are in our journeys!
Again -- welcome to the board - and it's very nice to meet you!
Hi Becky,
I am, like, totally new to WLS. I mean, obviously I have heard about it, but it has not been anything I thought I would do. I have bottomed out, though, and I have to do something because I cannot lose the weight by myself. Also, my health is depreciating (hypertension, edema, high cholesterol, stent in heart, etc.). The surgery is scary, but continuing on as I am is even scarier.
I noticed you said you are new to the group--I don't know how I even ended up here--and I was wondering. Have you had surgery yet? I saw your picture by your post and you look great, so I don't know if you had surgery or not.
I am hoping the group will let me be a part of it also. I feel so isolated, at times, because of my body.
Anyway, I hope we can encourage one another. I should be having surgery in July, if all goes as plan.
Take care,
Jaycee
