Self Reward??

Hi all! I hope everyone is having a great Thursday! I am so looking forward to the long weekend. Month end is wearing me out Every since I had surgery, I've told myself that when I lost 100 pounds, I was going to do something special for myself as a reward for my accomplishment. But when I hit that point a few weeks ago, I'm drawing a blank! I can't seem to find the right "something". I want it to be something long lasting.....possibly jewelry.....but then I started thinking about getting professional portraits made. It's been a really long time since I've had my picture made......I would love to do that, but am so not photogenic and scared that I would be dissapointed with the results! Also, I wouldn't want the Sear portrait studio type pictures.....but really unique ones. Does anybody know a photographer that is good and not too far away? Maybe I will do a google search and see what I find, but I would love references. So what about you all? Did you do or will you do something special for yourself as a reward for losing weight/getting close to goal, etc? I'd love to hear your ideas! Hugs, Kim

When I make goal, I plan to go back to Destin, rent a condo for a week (all by myself unless you guys wanna go too!, leaving the kids behind ) and stay on the beach in a Tankini 24/7! Newport News has the cutest purple n black one right now. I am tempted to order it in a smaller size so I can keep my eye on the prize, just dont know what size that would be.. I really want to go to Maui and do this but Im being realistic, my budget just wont allow that right now. WHEN I hit 50 pounds, Im adding to my tattoo. Its just a small magenta rose on my right ankle but I want to add a celtic cross and *maybe* an angel overlooking, with my sisters name or initials inscribed, dont know yet, still unsure. I need to find an artist to help me design it! I am now down 35 pounds so only 15 more pounds to go till I get my new tat! I plan on doing something for ME with each 25 pound weight loss, my first 25 pounds I just kept it simple and treated myself to a manicure and pedicure. Sandy

Hey Sandy! I am going to Destin with you girl!!! I need the beach so bad. I haven't been in like 2 years. However, you are welcome to come hang out with me at my redneck pool .....I have sugar free pina colada mix and a beach sounds CD.....we could close our eyes and imagine!! I did buy me a tankini (size medium)a month or so before my WLS on the clearance rack at Target and kept it hanging in my closet as motivation. Now, it FITS!!! That was a great day when I put it on for the first time and it fit Now, I own 6 BIKINI TOPS .... no it ain't pretty, but I'm so happy they fit I wear them anyway! If nobody likes it, they aint got to look! I thought about a tattoo. I have one on my shoulder and want one on the small of my back, but I am planning on some plastics, so I need to wait until my skin is where it is supposed to be. Sure you can come! The last condo I stayed at in Destin was called the Emerald somethinger other...LOL... I loved it! I had a full view of the ocean from the living room and from the bedroom with sliding glass doors in both, and the balcony extended the entire length. It was sooooo relaxing and 5 years ago. I am LONG overdue! The rates are hundreds of dollars cheaper from September to Feburary, you can save about 500 bucks! Better yet it is still warm and sunny in September in Florida!. I wish I had a strawberry dacquiri I had there on the beach, man it was yummy, topped with whipped cream and strawberries...and one of those drinks you never taste the alcohol, and can suck em down quick, but go to standup and whooooooooa nelly! Hey now, just might have to come up there and use some creative visualzation with the pool, pina colada's, and Cd's... Sounds like a blast! Sure beats laying on the sandbar at the river, my closes****er spot around here. Although I do like rolling on the river all day with my sister and her pontoon boat...sigh... yep, Im overdue to be near some body of water besides a bathtub! were gonna have to see out doing this.. How about boudoir portraits? Like glamour shots, but erotic photography... I don't know anyone in your area, but if you did a search on the internet, you'd surely find one in B'ham. Good luck! Love, Joni

I actually like that idea!! But i would be mortified for a stranger to see me semi-nude.......

PS If you think this is a good idea, I know some people in Bessemer who would know someone who would do them...I'm pretty sure. They're into stuff like that, so I'm sure if they haven't had it done already that they just haven't thought about it yet.
