Quote of the Whenever
Well, I can't seem to get in any sort of schedule with it, so let's just call it the quote of the whenever.
"Do one thing...imagine...see it and live it. Don't think it up laboriously, as if you were working out mental arithmatic. Just look at it, touch it, smell it, listen to it, turn yourself into it."
-Ted Hughes
Hmmm, visualization. I am going to visualize myself tonight as I go to bed...,if I ever get there, as the passionate visionary I want to be, the writer, the environmentalist, the thin person, the wearer of long flowing skirts and dangly earrings, bangle bracelets that actually go over my hands and tinkle on my skinny wrists, the person who lives in a Zen-like atmosphere with minimal "stuff", who is at peace, who can help people to be their authentic selves, who loves speaking to large groups, who, instead of saying she's going to bed now, actually GOES TO BED.
What is YOUR dream?
Tell me, let it wallow around in your head, allow yourself the luxury of knowing it can happen.
Love,
Joni who is having a brief moment of optimism and is taking advantage of it...
Hey Joni,
I did just what your quote said....I was an LPN for 10 years when I finally went back and got my RN. For 3 years I went to college and worked weekends as an LPN. I literally felt like I had to reintroduce myself to my family after I graduated. I couldn't think of school as taking that long. I counted semesters...not years. I don't know it just seemed easier for me. I had a dream though....a dream of becoming an RN.. I visualized myself...and I made it. Now I just want to visualize myself as a healthier, thinner RN....LOL
