Cracker Flax

Got some interesting crackers today at the health food store. Cracker Flax. They are made with flax seeds and dried tomatoes and onions. Interesting. And they take forever to eat, all those little flax seeds. So good for a snack because you can't eat a lot of them at once. Just get you one, break it in a piece or two and eat one and then worry with all those little seeds. I also got a couple of bads of the seeds, plain and golden. Now sure the difference, but will check out Lindy's site on Flaxseeds and see what I can learn. I know people say don't take the flaxseed oil tablets. However, the other day I had not been to the restroom and didn't have any prunes or anything in the house that would've helped. So I took Flaxseed Oil capsules, a lot of them, and it did the trick, for which I was grateful. I got a bag of dried plum and another bag of dried Mission Figs today, so I shouldn't have any more troubles for a while. Got some cherries, dried blueberries, and a few other things....salad fixings. So I'm full of prunes and don't have to leave the house the whole week. I can spend the whole week worrying with these little flax seeds. Eating them reminds me of a friend from long ago whose cat loved tapioca pudding. She would eat each little piece of tapioca separately and would work so hard at chewing each individual little piece, opening her mouth wide and worrying with it. It was pretty funny, but to her, it was worth all the trouble. She really loved tapioca. Got all this flax stuff at a health food store in Decatur....Gloria's, I think it was, in the same strip mall as Big Lot's. Ok, I'm off to bed again. Just woke up to get to the restroom in time...just barely. I can't wait until the bed can be moved into the bedroom so I can be closer to the and away from the neighbor's stereo bass. I was in the bedroom part cleaning today and the couple in the apartment on THAT side were arguing. I started to go over there and say look I'm going to be moving my bed over to your side of the wall, so people SHUT THE HELL UP. There was an article on noise pollution in this months ORGANIC STYLE MAGAZINE. I felt like making copies of it and putting it under everyone's doors on my floor and the floor below me. My luck, we'll find out there's a homeless person living on the roof who steals batteries to keep his stereo going. Well, speaking of noise, I bought about 150 prs. of earplugs which muffle it somewhat. So I'm going to try to go back to bed. Love, Joni

There are some GOOD recipes in ORGANIC STYLE MAGAZINE this month too! I have been taking it to work and reading it over and over every night. I just never tire of their articles. I dont think I can do flaxseeds. I bought some and they have been in my freezer since I read Lindys profile, months ago. I do have a coffee grinder so I will grind them up when i use them. My nutrionist said yesterday I can eat anything except of course high fat, sugar laden stuff and NO NUTS OR CITRUS. I have diverticulitis, so anything with a seed is out too, but I think I can use em if I grind em up? Look for a cracker called "Nut Thins". I found them at my health food store. The ones I bought were made from ground pecans. They are a natural nut & rice cracker made with no wheat or gluten added. Made by Blue Diamond Growers Co-Op. Very paper thin, and delicious with chicken salad, tuna salad or plain peanut butter. No sugar and 2gm protein, very small, about the size of a half dollar. Perfect for lowfat hor deverves, course I make hor derves just for me alot of times since I can not eat alot at one time. If ya cant find em, I will mail you a box! Send me your snail mail again, please! Love, Sandy
