Hello, I was wondering if anyone has ever had a loan for surgery in Mexico funded by Prosper. Thanks for any feedback!
My copay to the doctors office is $401 and $1,1600 ($100 upfront then $100 each month).
Medicare took care of the rest. Hope this helps.
Can someone refer me to a medical financing company that they have used?
I need a tummy tuck and would like to secure financing.

I have Cigna OAP and my deductible counts towards my maximum out of pocket. YMMV though.
Very nice! Good Luck!

Thanks for responding!!I have narrowed down my list to:
Dr. Piotr Gorecki with New York Methodist Hospital
Dr. James McGinty with St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital
and I was able to get and appt. with both on Dr.'s so it looking good.
I don't have any experience with the NY doctors, but I'm sorry this happened. Ugh!

Well yesterday I received disappointing news that Dr.Roslin is no longer in my network (Health First) so the search for a new Dr. is on again...
So far I have:
Dr. Piotr Gorecki with New York Methodist Hospital
Dr. James McGinty with St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital
Dr. Leaque Ahmed with Harlem Hospital
Dr. Daniel Herron with Mont Sinai Hospital
If anyone has worked with any of the Dr.’s I have listed I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks so much!

That is a good question for someone from UHC to answer. Here is what I found on-line:
Surgical revision or a second bariatric surgery is proven for inadequate weight loss if the original criteria for bariatric surgery (BMI, co-morbidities and patient selection criteria) continue to be met.
Surgical adjustment or alteration of a prior bariatric procedure is proven for complications of the original surgery, such as stricture, obstruction, pouch dilatation, erosion, or band slippage when the complication causes abdominal pain, inability to eat or drink or causes vomiting of prescribed meals.
Based on this, I don't think you would have to start over from the beginning.

I think the requirements for band removal and revision are different. I believe the revision requirements are more detailed and demanding, whereas with the band removal, they simply require "complications such as stricture or obstruction."
As for the revision, the specific requirements they have are listed in my post above. Normally I would agree with you that since the band has been taken out, it is no longer a factor. But, the band was just taken out. If you go that route (of a regular WLS), then I imagine your time starts over again (for showing obesity, etc.). Keep in mind that the policy is reviewed again in May of this year, so there may be WLS policy changes for Cigna.
