Topic: RE: anyone been approved by wal mart insurance for gastric bypass
Wls is a direct exclusion under walmart insurance, but due to life threatening things you have you can appeal that and then they HAVE to cover it. You have to get ahold of the person in charge of the insurance (ask your market human resource manager for that information) good luck and dont give up! It will be covered!

I just wanted to verify that Lindstrom is one of the best practices to hire if you are having any issues with insurance.  When i was about to give up i decided to hire them and i am so glad i did.  It took a year for me to get approved for my revision but i am so glad i had them by my side fighting for me.  They are very good about getting back to you in a timely manner and keeping up updated on everything that is going on.  I dont know how many times i bugged them with questions but no matter what i always got a response.  For sure worth it if you are thinking about it!!

Each insurance company is allowed to set their own requirements, based on the state laws for each state in which they issue insurance policies.  Michigan allows that a 12-month requirement for doctor-supervised diet is reasonable.  Sorry, there is not much you can do about it.

Topic: RE: Help with cpt code 43848

Hoping you can help me too. Hope you are doing well. I had a 25 year old surgery revised 12/11. BCBS has not paid yet. I know it needs some kind of code besides 43848.  Did you ever get yours resolved.... Seems like ,surely, I not the first person to have had this problem in AL. Maybe someone can help me.......
