denied after 1st letter

they said they want me to do a 6 month supervised diet plan. anyone know how to avoid or bypass this. also does anyone have a sample appeal letter?

Do the diet. Most insurance companies demand it and the 6 months goes by so fast or if you'r going to appeal then appeal but start seeing your PCP right away for so called "DIET" just in case they turn you down on your appeal. You'll be a head of the game if you MUST do the 6 months. Donna

I would be glad to send you some info if you can email me your mailing address. I had to fight this because my insurance was ending and they were using the diet to run out the time. I got my surgery covered, though there are no guarantees my arguments will work for someone else. But I am willing to share if you want what I have.

If you go back to some older post Gary the attorney that post out here says 6month diet not required in NY, NJ and I think CA read all the one in January or Feb that mention the 6 month diet in the title. I just appeal mine thru the VA ombudsmans office and won I didnot have to do the 6 month diet.
