You don't need a detailed history all the time. I was approved, with a lawyer, but I didn't have the six months. What you need to do is make sure you start the monthly process now, just in case, but in the meantime apply and appeal and provide letters from your doctors that this is your last hope. The problem with waiting for the 6 months or whatever it is....is that the policy can change in the meantime and that's what happened to me. I also have friends who waited and lost their jobs. My advise. Have your surgeon apply and if you get rejected. Start the diet or whatever they say you need but also file an appeal just in case. The worse that happens is that you get denied anyway but at least if the plan changes you have an appeal pending under the old plan. Megan, I haven't heard from my insurance company but in the event they deny me, (If you don't mind) How much was Mr.Viscio services. I need to know whether or not I should start saving now. How long did it take you from the time you applied - to the time you were denied - to when Mr. Viscio stepped in - to your graduation (When you were approved)?????????
