What does this insurance letter mean? BCBS PPO

I didn't expect to get approved first time out.....but today I got a letter than says I'm "eligible." Does that mean I've been a "approved"? The last little paragraph concerns me....it says 'this is not a guarantee of payment'...that it will be determined after the claim has been submitted. Is this the wording you got on your letters? Does that mean I'm approved? Is that last paragraph just an 'escape' clause for the ins. co. in case dr. throws in some extra work of something? I can't believe I got that letter!!! I'm shaking!!

Sounds like approved to me. My letter said approved for surgery, but it did have that last paragraph as, well. I think its just a standard phase. Call your Dr's office and see if they got the letter. If so they'll tell you and be ready to get your date. Congrats
