Hi all, Is anyone familiar with California Medi-Cal insurance? I was wondering if you know if they cover weight-loss surgery, should it be medically necessary (BMI 40+, commorbities, etc.). Also, what is the status of Medicare covering weight-loss surgery? I have a friend very interested in surgery and is currently covered by Medi-Cal. Medicare may cover her in the future too.
