Partial Pay

I have a bad gallbladder. My PCP advises me to have it removed because the stones are small. He said they cause irritation and that is what causes my chronic pain and that they can clog the duct and/or cause an infection. It was when I was diagnosed with this that I started to seriously consider having a revision to my failed RNY. If I am going to be opened and all...... So I have applied for ins. coverage and been denied even with the help of an attorney. Ins. says I have exhausted my appeals. It has been suggested I have ins. pay for the Cholecystectomy and I pay for the DS while they are in there. Has anyone attemted this? How did you go about getting that. I think my ins. if they are true to form, will have me pay the lion's share and they will pick up the little gallbladder bit. TIA Kerry

Call the insurance company and ask them what they will cover and how that will work. You might just end up paying your surgeon and the insurance company picking up everything else as you had to have the the other surgery anyway. Donna 338/153
