Need advice please

I started a new job in June in order to have a shot at having my WLS surgery covered. October 1st will be the date my insurance starts. How long do you guys think I should wait before I start trying for approval? Our insurance plan is self funded, and our company is kind of small. TIA!

I'm not sure how long you should wait to ask for the surgery, but I encourage you to start a physician supervised diet NOW!! That is the thing they will use to try to delay your surgery, so be ready for them. Good Luck!
