My insurance SUCKS

I have UHC and I put the smiley face up b/c I am tired of being angry. My doctors office called and was told that it was a billable code. When I called they told me it was billable, but its like having a McDonald's coupon that says FREE fries, but only where accepted. What the heck does that mean? Is it covered or not. She said no Weight Loss Program is covered, but this is surgery. Then she said no Gastro Bypass is covered. I called the doctors office and they said just wait and let them send it in. I have a lot of co-morbs which my insurance does cover. So maybe that will help. Anyone had any luck with UHC and that exclusion?

Try writing to those people who got their approvals the most recently and get details about what they did. Good luck.
