Unicare Group PPO Platinum - Exclusion

Hey Everyone... So of course I am in the same boat as many of you. I did my psych evalualtion, my doc visit to say I could medically withstand surgery and had my thyroid tested as these are all things that my surgeon's office suggested because that is what Unicare requires. This week they received a denial notice based on no benefit. I know that Unicare covers Obesity treatment but there is an exclusion on the policy. I am now going to my husband's employer (actually he is) to see if they will consider chaning the policy they have through them. What I am wondering is have any of you tried to find out what other policies are available to your employer through the same insurance company? I would like to do the leg work for him if I can but I am not sure who I would speak with on something like this. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks! Cami
