Has anyone used Health care discount plan to pay?

I inquired on health insurance quotes over the net. I found a co called Protective Life and they pay 70% of the surgery and will work with the hospital to gain more then that. Its sounds good but im kind of afraid that i will pay and there will be no coverage..... any advice?
