Anxiety in addition to obesity. HELP!!!!!

I hope there is someone who will read this and try to help me. I just moved to another state but have continued my insurance from my previous employer through COBRA protection. I have completed ALLLLLL of the steps for my procedure and called in to schedule my procedure date when I was told by the benefits coordinator that my insurance has an exclusion and obesity/morbid orbesity was not covered. I AM devestated. I contacted United Healthcare and they said that the employer does in fact have an exclusion. I don't know what else to do. My doctor's office really did not offer any suggestions for me. Can someone please help me??? Thank you.
