how do you get insurance to start with????

I have been denied insurance. They say I weigh too much. How did you all get insurance and second how did you get it to pay for wls. Is there any other ways of having the surgery besides self pay?? I can't afford that option. Please help me!!!!

I noticed Tennessee, if you are/were under Tenncare remember 2 things 1) Under HIPAA if you do manage to get insurance they can't claim "preexisting" if you've had insurance to cover you 18 months prior 2) If you can't get insurance, "Uninsurable" the Governor is in Federal Court now trying to allow Tenncare to continue to cover the 90,000+ (and I would assume others even if they are not currently under Tenncare as well) who are considered uninsurable. Man, I understand your issue! I can't get approved by my insurance and i can't be finance because of my credit. This is the hardest thing. I really might have to give up. I dont know what to do.
