To all: BCBS to deny WLS as of July 1st?

You might have trouble getting approved. Your BMI is on the lower side and you admittedly don't have any major health problems. I'll use myself as an example. My BMI is 47. I have asthma, high blood pressure, blood sugar is consistantly high (but not high enough to be diabetic...yet), I'm infertile because of my size. My mother had breast cancer. All four grandparents and both parents had/have hypertension. My grandfather had congestive heart failure and literally dropped dead of a heart attack at 61 years old. My grandmother (whom I suspect was diabetic) died of poor circulation. These are the kinds of things doctors and insurance companies look at when deciding on your approval.

I AM GOING TO CHANGE MY INSURANCE DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT TO CIGNA HEALTHCARE THEY SAY THAT THEY PAY.WHAT IF I HAD ALL THESE TEST DONE AND I HAD MEDICAL PROBLEMS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT.I FEEL CRUMMY ALL THE TIME AND JUST AFRAID TO GO TO THE DOCTOR SCARED OF WHAT I MIGHT FIND OUT.
