how long was your wait for approval?

I know all the insurances are different and have different criteria's but I have been told I meet the criteria and will be approved for surgery. That being said my doctor sent the letter May 19th and I have heard nothing! I have United Healthcare and have seen on the OH board where people are approved in a week. I was told it could be 4 to 6 weeks after they receive the letter before they will send out a letter. It makes absolutely no sense to me and everytime I call the company, it seems like the big run around. Thanks in advance to anyone who has something to share! Kelli

Sounds like my insurance company. I just kept calling and finally I got a letter stating that over turned my appeal. YES!! Gary came through once again. Have you called your surgeons office and asked if they can check into the status? All I can say is don't give up. Donna
