I have just submitted my second level appeal to my insurance provider, Schaller Anderson. If it's denied again I will hire Viscio & Associates PC (obesitylaw.com) to file another appeal on my behalf. Has anyone used them successfully? They impressed me until I received their packet and it was full of typos (never a good sign). However, I liked what they had to say, and I am interested in your opinion. Thanks.

Hi Pamela. I used Gary Viscio (whom is www.obesitylawyers.com). I used him to submit an "Early Intervention" package to my insurance company. While, yes, there were some typos on the correspondence, my letter to Aetna went out flawlessly and they approved on first appeal, without incident. I was amazed, as was my doctor's office. Apparently, Aetna is really tough. Gary speaks the language insurance companies hate to hear - LAW. Typos or not, they have to take notice. Don't worry. He'll get it done. I am now six months postop, down from 198 pounds to 115 and thanking Dr. Chung and Gary Viscio every day for what I have to look forward to each and every morning - a new me. Good Luck and don't stop fighting!
