Need Feedback on GHI (CBP) Insurance--ANYONE??
Hello everyone!
I have completed most of the consultations: surgeon, psychologist/psychiatrist, cardiologist, and pulmonologist. I have also completed the GB somnogram, stress test, echocardiagraph, spirometry and other PFT, and sleep study, as well as the nutritionist consultation. I am now waiting for the pulmonologist to receive the report of the sleep study so he can forward his complete report to the surgeon, who already has the letter from the psych. My PCP will be signing his letter sometime this week and the nutritionist promised to send her report to the surgeon this week also.
I would like to know from other members who also have GHI, pre-op or post-op, who have gone through the pre-approval process, what was your turnaround? how soon after your surgeon submitted the paperwork did you get approved (or denied...yikes!!)? I am hoping to have surgery the last week of July or on August 1 this year. (My boss will be traveling overseas for 13 days, so this is the best chance for me to do it.)
I am panicking thinking I am running out of time in order to get the approval in time to meet my target date. Can anyone volunteer their experience with GHI, please?
Thank you and god bless!
