Hi all, I have been told recently that my company is going to be switching to United Health Care of Ohio, I looked at the policy and there is a definate exclusion including morbid obesity. However, my DH's company has an insurance called Trustmark and apparently it is not real prevalant in the SW Ohio area. No WLS exclusions are listed, so I think that I will go for it instead. My question is has anyone dealt with this company before and how were they? Kym

Hi Kym! Click on the link at the tob of the page for "insurers," then click on your state, then click on "T" and scroll down until you find Trustmark and you can view what other people have to say that have used this insurance. Do you know what other state(s) that insurance is prevalent in? If so, you can look there as well. I say GO FOR IT!!! If it doesn't list an exclusion, you probably don't have anything to worry about! Good luck! Tammy

Thanks Tammy, I have checked out the insurers section only to find that only one post for Ohio has been made under this company. I did look through Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky and every post except for one was positive. I am just keeping my fingers crossed at this point. Thanks, Kym

Kym, Try also checking Pennsylvania. You can also call your insurance co. and ask them what their criteria is for WLS. What I have read is they'll approve if it's medically necessary. Good luck. Tammy
