Hi everyone, I am new to this challenge to lose weight. I finally decided that enough is enough. I'm 25 and weigh 232lbs (5'4") w/ a BMI of 39.8. I am really scared that I will lose my health as I grow older. I currently have high cholestrol, and I don't have my periods regularly. Anyhow, I have Great West HMO (GemCare). Does anyone have exp w/ this insurance. Does it pay for doctor supervised diets or precriptions. Any help would be much appreaciated. Thanks, Rita

You should have a copy of what your plan covers, if you don't you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them if they cover certain things or if they can send you a packet containing a list of things they cover and don't related to weight loss.
