Short term disability-AFLAC

I don't qualify for my companies short term disability yet and was looking into buying some from AFLAC before I start my process. Has anybody have an expericence or advise if AFLAC would cover me? Thanks

Tracie: AFLAC is really good for short term disability. They will cover any surgery that keeps you from working. I have used it and they paid 70% of wages. That is really good for the cost. I recommend to get it.

I had a question, do you have a waiting period once you get into AFLAC. Seeing as though BCBS of Tx is not going to budge, I need something else that will help out. The rep came out to talk to me but he did not know if it would actually cover the surgery and he told me he would have to get back with me on that note. If anyone can help out with any information, I would appreciate it. Thanks
