Gary - What is This About???

I was approved for my gastric bypass surgery in October 2004. I was also precertified for my surgery. The insurance has paid for over $2000.00 in hospital costs, however they are saying now that they won't pay for anesthesia and the surgeon bill because I was not certified for surgery. My doctor's office has been fighting with them for 4 months, but I keep getting all these bills!! They have also told the doctor's office that they never received a letter of medical necessity. HUH? They received a dozen letters of medical necessity from several doctors. I am SOOO worried about this. It would be financially devastating to my family if I were saddled with a $10,000.00 bill!! What can I do???
