Tricare prime Cost share amount

I was approved for my Tummy tuck/hernia repair for Feb 9th . Got the autherzation number. Tricare paid the claim but says I have to pay a cost share amount of 800.00 . ALthough that is really not alot with tricare prime we dont have any Copayments.. What the heck is cost share amount. When I read the back it says if we didnt get a referrel before service we have to pay that but I did get a referrel to see my PS and she submitted my claim UGH I am so frustrated.. Of course I get this letter on a Sat and cant do anything till monday so now I can stew all weekend about it

First of all I bet you love your TT.!!!! I have standard Tricare and we have a 20% that we pay and that is called cost share. Call them Monday it seems Tricare is going though alot of changes.I wanted the lap band,but don't think I'm going to get it. Shirley

I have Tricare prime and this was autherized even before I went into surgery. I called them this morning and they said the mistake was made that the doctor put a different diagnosis then the orignial and to have them resubmitt with the orginal diagnosis and the claim will be paid in full and I will not have any cost share amounts. Whew what a relief..
