BCBS of La--I'm approved & have a date

I am approved for surgery and have a date!! I started calling the Dr. office, and they hadn't heard anything. I called the insurance and they hadn't gotten anything. They said fax it, so I called the Dr. office. They hung up before getting the fax number, & I left my phone number, they never called. I waited 4 days and called. They took a message, then later called me for the fax number. I waited until Monday and called. They had heard nothing. I called the insurance, they had gotten nothing. They told me......... tell them to CALL us, and we can approve it. I called back, and said, "BCBS said they got nothing, but want you to call so they can put me in the computer and approve me." The lady told me that it would be a first if they took the call (& argued with me over who my insurance was--- so I guess that is why my insurance co never got it. My husbands insurance co was probably saying, 'why are they sending us this?'). I told her, if they won't take the call then call me back and I will call them back, and get the name and number for the guy who said to call. She never called. I waited until the next day......... nothing. So I called the BCBS. They told me that ---- "You are approved and you have a surgery date! We got your information yesterday, when they called us!" So I called the Dr. to set up the appointments needed. They said, "You do those yourself." I said, "I don't even know what appointments to make!" So now I am making appointments!!!
