I'm getting soo anxious!! United Healthcare Choice Plus

I called the insurance company yesterday to check the status of my appeal. I talked to Pamela and there was a note on my account "Unable to pull image" That means my appeal went to the appeals department but when they went to read it they couldn't see it!! GRRRRR She wanted me to fax my appeal letter again, I did that. Now, I call back today and she (Andréa) couldn't tell me if they received it or not, it wasn't in the system yet!! Now, my question is.....I am doing EVERYTHING they tell me to do and I'm doing it by the book. I sent my appeal on Dec 27 and they got it on Dec 29, it was put into the system on Jan 3. On Jan 10 I called to check the status and it was still in the mailroom. Lisa then sent the letter to the appeals department and told me 30 days for an answer...I informed her my book says on the first appeal 15 days for review and answer. So she marked it URGENT PRIORITY!! I am just wondering if since they were "UNABLE TO PULL IMAGE" and I had to give them my letter again....does my 15 days start over?!?!?! No one can tell me, so I was just wondering what you all thought...OR if they do go over 15 days is that good for me AND my next appeal if they deny me again. Thanks Cindy

I am waiting too, but I was told by the CSR at my ins. co "It is true what they say about the squeaky wheel" So do not give up! kristey
